12 Hours of Twisted Oak

April 12, 2025
The race will be a mass start for all categories at 10am: ending at 1pm for the 3hr, 4pm for the 6 hour, and 10pm for the 12 hour.
With the endurance aspect of this race, the team options, rustic camping, and unique terrain, this race is sure to provide a lively festival atmosphere at Ray and Ashlee’s beautiful property just south of Keystone State Park. Proceeds from the 2025 race will go toward towards local resident Mark Te Ruki to help offset the financial burden of his colorectal cancer fight.
Mark like Ray, is a transplant to Tulsa… though he traveled across the Pacific vs the Red River. Mark is originally from New Zealand, and he traveled to the US after becoming a New Zealand Junior National Champion in road racing. While in the US he met a woman, who later became his wife and the mother of his children… and Mark tied down roots in Tulsa. He’s been a major figure in Tulsa’s cycling scene for over a three decades: racing, coaching/mentoring cyclist of all ages, and just being an all out ambassador for the sport. Mark is one of the most special people we’ve ever met: his radiant personality, warm heart, generosity, and contagious smile ensures that you will love him immediately. During communicating with Mark, he mentioned he would like to raise awareness for the importance of getting a colonoscopy for early detection. We launched this event in 2023 for Ashlee's colorectal cancer treatment and to help raise awareness, so not only are we going to help Mark out with his battle financially… we’re teaming up to help raise awareness! We hope that if you are reading this, you will help us make sure the 2025 12hrs of Twisted Oak is a huge success! We're also adding a Race Pledge fundraiser option for racers to recruit donors to sponsor a flat rate or per 7 mile lap!
